09/09/25 - Meeting with Cllr Cooper, Cllr Kerr, and Iain Strachan - Head of Legal Services. Discussions took place to get a suitable compromise on allocation of £50000 LAF
15/09/25 - SNP Group Meeting. Hot topic still the Labour administrations failure to answer our questions on cuts to School Transport
17/09/25 - Attended Auldhouse & Chapelton Community Council. Made those in attendance aware of the proposals for the Local Action Fund and that I will be working with Chapelton Bowling Club on an application for REF to extend their faciltiies.

OCTOBER
01/10/25 - Meeting of SLC Full Council. Pleased to have in attendance those parents protesting against council cuts to school transport. Speech given in support of SNP motion requesting that West of Scotland Road Safety Guidance be reviewed locally. This was voted against with the ruling Labour Group asking for the guidance to be reviewed directly by the West of Scotland Road Safety Forum instead. When pressed about whether or not the administration will get back to either the executive committee or the education committee, the provost (under direction from council leader Joe Fagan) declined to allow this. Cllr Fagan himself spoke on the amendment and never mentioned the concerns of the parents and children but once more used his platform as a stick to beat the SNP with.
06/10/25 - Meeting with constituent from Sandford with our MSP Mairi McAllan, to discuss they horrendous cuts to school transport and the Labour administrations failure to instruct local officers to review the guidance.
10/10/25 to 13/10/25 - Attendance at 91st SNP Conference in Aberdeen.

07/12/25 - Attended Strathaven Reindeer Day. This is always a fun filled event.
07/12/25 - Attended light switch on in Stonehouse. Amazing turn out despite the weather. Great fun
08/12/25 - SNP pre-full council meeting to discuss our upcoming motions.
10/12/25 - Full Council Meeting. Seconded a motion on the review of petitions process. This would ensure the council use ANY petitions organised by constituents as part of their decision making process. I also proposed a motion that would ensure the correct maintenance of the “safe” walking routes to school. This to include ongoing maintenance and repairs to defective infrastructure. It will also ensure that routes receive proper winter maintenance such as gritting. Both these motions passed with full support.
